
USABO: National Finals
The National Training Session
The Program
The USABO National Finals consists of eight days of intense study in practical and theoretical knowledge. During the day, students attend study sessions taught by leading biologists and teachers and conduct experimental biology in the laboratories. Counselors organize evening and weekend activities such as soccer, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, games, movie nights, outings and study sessions. Guest lecturers are given by distinguished speakers and range across a wide variety of topics.
The Location
Classes are held at Purdue university. Students live in dormitories near the center of campus, and take advantage of the computer labs, libraries, research facilities, and recreational activities.
Distinguished Speakers
CEE is proud to provide the USABO students the opportunity to meet and speak with leading biologists through the evening lecture series. The 2009 speakers included:

- Dr. Uplaksh Kumar, Director of Frederick Operations, Life Technologies.
- Amy Bany Adams, Ph.D. Director of the Office of Science Policy and Analysis, NIDCR, NIH.
