CEE to Host Webinar of STEM Careers in Healthcare

McLean, Va., September 25, 2023 – The Center for Excellence in Education’s (CEE) Teacher Enrichment Program and STEM Lyceums program will present a cost-free webinar about career opportunities in healthcare. “Pathways to Healthcare” takes place on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, 4:30-5:45 p.m. ET via Zoom. Raj Vatsa is a 6th-year student in the MD-PhD Program at Harvard University, pursuing a PhD in Health Policy (Concentration: Methods for Policy Research) with a focus on domestic and global maternal health. Raj earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Global Health & Health Policy from Harvard College. His professional interests center on enhancing care for vulnerable patient populations – particularly in maternal and newborn health – and leveraging quantitative methods to achieve that goal in an evidence-based manner. He aspires to become a physician with expertise in clinical obstetrics and rigorous analytic and quasi-experimental methods to accelerate outcomes at both the individual patient and systemic levels. He attended CEE’s prestigious Research Science Institute in 2013.

CEE’s Teacher Enrichment Program provides unique STEM opportunities for high school teachers and their students. All TEP resources and professional development events are cost-free to participants. To date, more than 4,000 teachers from over 1,400 schools have participated. The program has reached nearly 600,000 underserved rural and urban students to encourage STEM careers.
