The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to telling the stories of the Chesapeake Bay and the people who have shaped their lives around it.  Situated on 18 waterfront acres in the historic town of St. Michaels, Maryland, the Museum offers exhibits, demonstrations, boat rides on the Miles River, and annual festivals that celebrate Chesapeake Bay culture, boats, seafood, and history.

The Chesapeake Bay Program is a regional partnership that leads and directs Chesapeake Bay restoration and protection. Bay Program partners include federal and state agencies, local governments, non-profit organizations and academic institutions. Staff members work at the Bay Program's Annapolis, Maryland, office and at partner organizations throughout the Bay watershed.

California Chicago Science Teacher Research (CSTR) program

Professional Development

The Chicago Science Teacher Research program is an initiative by the faculty of four UIC Colleges in cooperation with Chicago Public School authorities and industrial interest groups to address the need to engage in-service teachers in emerging technologies and cutting edge research in the areas of material sciences, nanotechnology, bio-, biomedical and environmental engineering. Thirteen fellowships of $8000 each are sponsored by the National Science Foundation  Research Experiences for Research Teachers (RET) Program.

National, Illinois Chickscope

Activities

Chickscope is a project to study chicken embryo development using a remotely controlled magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) instrument. It is being developed by educators and researchers from several departments at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in collaboration with Central Illinois teachers.
