Joann DiGennaro, President of CEE, moderated the panel about U.S. leadership in science and technology and what the scientific and technological landscape will be like in years to come.
This nation’s economic development, national security, and quality of life are dependent on its educational pipeline of excellence in science, technology, engineering, and math. The distinguished members of this panel discussed the rapid pace of scientific and technological advances and answered questions concerning global issues that impact science and technology collaborations.
Distinguished panelists were:
- Dr. George Atkinson, Director, Institute on Science for Global Policy and former Science and Technology Adviser to the Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice
- Dr. Wanda Austin, President and CEO, The Aerospace Corporation
- Dr. Doug Himberger, Vice President, Booz Allen Hamilton
- Dr. John Mather, Senior Project Scientist, James Webb Space Telescope and 2006 Nobel Prize Recipient in Physics, and CEE Trustee
