CEE Inaugurates Teacher Enrichment Program in Northern California

McLean, VA – September 3, 2015 – The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) announces the Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP) for Northern California high school STEM teachers to strengthen their professional development in STEM teaching.  The sessions are cost-free for all rural and urban teachers.  The working dinners will take place in San Jose, Gilroy, and Palo Alto.

The mission of the Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP) is to assure a future talented and diverse U.S. workforce in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).  TEP provides rural and urban underserved high school teachers the opportunity to connect with experts from industry and academia to explore cutting-edge research and make meaningful professional links with direct benefits for their students.

Academic researchers from local universities along with scientists and engineers from industries located in California will be featured speakers.  The TEP program seeks to broaden the pipeline of rural and urban students to careers in science and technology.

Contact Natasha Schuh-Nuhfer, Ph.D., Director of the Teacher Enrichment Program, to learn more about these cost-free events offered by CEE.
