CEE to Host Webinar on STEM in Cancer Research

McLean, Va. (October 25, 2023) – The Center for Excellence in Education’s (CEE) Teacher Enrichment Program presents “Taking a Bite Out of Cancer,” a cost-free online seminar about innovative research on cancer. It takes place on Thursday, October 26, 2023, 5-6:00 p.m. ET via Zoom. Register online.

Distinguished speaker:

Dr. Sharnise Mitchell is Research Program Manager, Chemical Biology and Therapeutics, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She earned her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at The Ohio State University. Dr. Micthell started her career as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Lab Specialist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a global leader in the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other life-threatening diseases of childhood.

CEE’s Teacher Enrichment Program provides unique STEM opportunities for high

school teachers and their students. All TEP resources and professional development events are cost-free to participants. To date, more than 4,000 teachers from over 1,400 schools have participated.
