CEE Offers Webinar on Energy Careers

CEE offers exciting free virtual program for high school students and teachers.

McLean, Va. (March 18, 2024) – The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) is offering high school students and teachers a cost-free opportunity to learn more about sustainable energy careers on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 5-6 p.m. ET on Zoom. Gain insights, explore innovations, and find inspiration to shape a purposeful and impactful career in a brighter, greener future! Register here. Distinguished speakers:

Jon Adamson leads TC Energy Corporation’s (formerly TransCanada Corporation) Environmental Planning & Permitting team for TC’s US National Gas (USNG) Capital Maintenance, Storage and Operations programs and leads the Environmental Construction compliance programs for all USNG construction. He has degrees from West Virginia University and West Virginia State College. Outside of work, Jon has been happily married for 25 years, with one son and one daughter. He enjoys spending as much time outside as possible with activities like kayaking, fishing, archery, and farming.

Jordan Hayes is senior manager of US Environmental Planning and Permitting at TC Energy Corporation (formerly TransCanada Corporation). A proud graduate of Carson Newman University and Appalachian School of Law, Jordan’s interest in the energy sector was sparked by her upbringing in Virginia’s Coalfield region. With more than 10 years in the energy industry, Jordan’s career has focused on land management as well as planning and permitting. In her free time, she can be found enjoying the outdoors with her husband, two daughters, and dog, Buster.

This online seminar is offered jointly through CEE’s Teacher Enrichment Program and STEM Lyceums, a virtual club for high school students to learn about STEM professions and career pathways.
