CEE Welcomes Todd Young as Honorary Trustee

McLean, VA (May 27, 2021) The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) is proud to announce U.S. Senator Todd Young of Indiana has agreed to serve as a CEE Honorary Trustee.

“The Center is honored that this outstanding leader recently joined its Honorary Board of Trustees,” CEE’s President Joann DiGennaro.

Description automatically generated with low confidenceAfter graduating from high school, Senator Young graduated with honors from the U.S. Naval Academy and accepted a commission in the U.S. Marine Corps. After training as a rifle platoon commander and service as an intelligence officer, Todd put himself through night school at the University of Chicago, where he earned his MBA with a concentration in economics. After serving a decade in the military, he earned an MA from the School of Advanced Study in London. Senator Young earned his J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He currently serves on the U.S. Senate Committees on Finance; Foreign Relations; Commerce, Science & Transportation; and Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Previously, in Congress, he served on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Budget Committee, and most recently the House Ways and Means Committee.

In affirming his new role, Senator Young noted, “I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside such an outstanding organization as CEE as it continues its mission of nurturing our nation’s young scholars to careers of excellence and leadership in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
