Free virtual STEM events for educators to be held this spring

McLean, Va. (February 3, 2022) – The Center for Excellence in Education’s (CEE) Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP) announces its spring 2022 schedule of virtual science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) events for teachers. The full spring schedule is posted online.

Upcoming TEP events:

  • A “STEM College & Career” webinar on February 17 from 5-6:15 p.m. ET. Join to hear representatives from manufacturing facilities share information and insights into careers and educational pathways. Register here.
  • A “Bite of Science” workshop takes place on February 23. This is designed to improve a teacher’s ability to provide students context for how science is applied in the real world and to inspire students to pursue careers of excellence and leadership in STEM. Register here.
  • “Health Science Highway: Careers & Pathways” webinar on March 24 from 5-6:15 p.m. ET. Learn about the many career opportunities in pharmacy & pharmaceutical sciences. Register here.
  • Monthly "Square Root of STEM Webinars" explore a variety of topics that illustrate the interdisciplinary nature of STEM and the real-world applications of STEM skills. Topics to include Human Microbiomes, Agriculture and Technology, Confectionary Science, and more. Educators, students and community members are welcome to join us on an exploration of how STEM topics and skills intersect with our modern lives.

The CEE Teacher Enrichment Program (TEP) connects rural and urban high school teachers to experts from industry and academia with meaningful professional links to benefit underserved students. TEP events and resources, including Bite of Science workshops and the online Lab Bench, are provided cost-free to teachers in 10 states and the District of Columbia for them to access and use in the classroom.
