THE CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF PROGRAM SUCCESS

CEE Features Nobel Laureate Panel

McLean, VA – September 12, 2013 – The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) marks its 30 year anniversary in nurturing high school and university scholars to careers of excellence and leadership in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and encouraging collaboration between and among leaders in the global community.  CEE’s anniversary celebration will take place at the Cambridge Marriott in Cambridge, MA October 25-27, 2013 with VIP guests, CEE’s program alumni, and the Center’s Trustees.

CEE shares details of the extraordinary Nobel Laureate Panel discussion that will take place on Saturday, October 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.   This eminent panel is made up of the following distinguished Nobel Laureates:

  • Dr. Dudley Herschbach, Frank B. Baird, Jr. Professor of Science Emeritus at Harvard University; 1986 Nobel Laureate, Chemistry
  • Dr. Wolfgang Ketterle, John D. MacArthur Professor of Physics at MIT; Associate Director of the Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT; Director of MIT-Harvard Center for Ultracold Atoms; 2001 Nobel Laureate, Physics.
  • Dr. Eric Maskin, Adams University Professor, Department of Economics, Harvard University; 2007 Nobel Laureate, Economics
  • Dr. Jack Szostak, Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute; Professor of Genetics, Harvard Medical School; Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Harvard University; Alex Rich Distinguished Investigator, Department of Molecular Biology and the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston; 2009 Nobel Laureate, Physiology/Medicine

Each of the four Nobel Laureates, Drs. Herschbach, Ketterle, Maskin, and Szostak will discuss the trends in each of their careers, and they will discuss the accomplishments which propelled them to a Nobel Prize.
